Cinderella Children's Spanish/English Learning E-Book & Website #Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Being of Puerto Rican descent my husband and I want our daughter to know how to speak Spanish. We haven't been doing a good job about it because we speak English almost all the time at home. My daughter does get to hear Spanish when she interacts with her grandmother and great-grandmother but it's still not enough.

I got the chance to review the Cinderella/Cenicienta Spanish/English Learning E-book from Happy Language Kids Llc. It is a version of Cinderella that is really cute and colorful. What I really love about the book is that the Spanish words are in the main story on the speech bubbles of the characters. The English words are placed on the bottom of the page. I thought it was a great idea to be able to read the story in Spanish and have the English words right there in view.

I read the book to my daughter in Spanish several times and she really enjoyed it. She even repeated some of the Spanish words. I am going to continue to read the book a couple of times a day so that she can learn and memorize the Spanish words.

What is great about this E-book is that it also comes with extra reinforcements on their website. You can see an animated version of the book here: http://happylanguagekids.com/1st-grade/fairytales/story. Do a word search with the words featured in the book here: http://happylanguagekids.com/1st-grade/fairytales/wordsearch. And play a game asking questions about the book here: http://www.happylanguagekids.com/1st-grade/fairytales/race.

You can purchase the e-book on Amazon for 3.99

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. What a great book! My husband is Filipino, but he doesn't speak Tagalog and doesn't really care if our son learns it or not. I personally think it would be beneficial for our son to learn another language- if not Tagalog, then Spanish, German, or French!

  6. What a great way to teach a young child another language. As a teacher I was taught that they can pick up foreign languages a lot easier at a younger age than an older age, and if you expose them to that language daily, they will learn it even quicker.

  10. I love multilingual learning materials! My son knows a wee bit of Korean words, but I still want him to properly and formally learn the language, or any other language for that matter. Spanish would be great, since most of the Tagalog words that we use originated from Spain. :)

  12. My little guy is 6 and is always asking me to teach him Spanish (I think in part because of Dora). I try to teach him from what I remember from my one year in high school, but he wants to know more! I would love this book for him I think he would really enjoy it.
