Toddler Crochet House Slippers Tutorial

My daughter loves putting on my house slippers and stomp around in them. I was worried she would trip in them so I decided to make her a replica of mine. Here is how I did them.

Supplies:
  • Simply Soft in Country Blue
  • Simply Soft in Light Country Blue
  • Size H hook
Stitches:
  • SC - Single Crochet
  • SS - Slip Stitch
Directions (Repeat twice for the right and left sandal):

Sole: I followed this awesome tutorial on Jay's Boutique Blog to create the sole.

Strap
Row 1 : Attach Country Blue yarn onto top left side of sole and SC in the next 6 stitches.

Row 2 - 14 : Ch 1, Turn and SC into the 6 stitches you just created.

Finish : Insert hook into corresponding stitch on right side of sole and SS. SS the next 5 stitches to attach the strap to the other side of the sole.

Flower: I followed this equally awesome tutorial on The Party Artisan to create the flower.

Finishing: Use a large eyed needle and the tail of the flower to securely attach the flower onto the side of the strap. Weave in ends, cut excess and use a little bit of fray check for extra durability.
