“This post was sponsored by @GBChildUsa as part of a Blog Blast Activation for Influence Central.”

I know when my daughter was younger I didn't go out as much as I wanted to because I didn't want to lug around a stroller on top of my baby bag. I live one flight up so it was hard to carry my daughter, the stroller and my bag. When I saw the gb Pockit I knew this would have been the perfect solution to traveling alone and more often with a small child in tow. It is also the perfect stroller to take with you when you are doing family travel because it's so compact that you will have space to carry everything else you need.

The gb Pockit can be used from 6 months up to 55 lbs. The fold-away dimensions (compact fold) measure 11.8" x 7.1" x 19.9: The fold-away dimensions (ultra-compact fold) are 11.8" x 7.1" x 13.8". The full size dimensions are 28" x 17.5" x 39.8". It is the world's smallest folded stroller according to the 2014 Guinness World Records. You can easily fold it using the 2 x 2 D technique which means that it only takes two steps to close it. It is also super light at just. 9.5 lbs.

gb Pocket features:
  • Self-standing when folded.
  • Small but strong and built of durable materials.
  • One-hand push for convenient pushing and steering.

Wordless Wednesday: 70 Pounds Lost

Weight Loss Journey: Week 33

I gained 0.1 pounds for an adjusted weight loss of 70 pounds. I am ok with that since I lost 10.1 pounds last week on the egg fast.

The one thing I truly missed when I was on the Egg Fast last week was my bacon! I had bacon every single day for breakfast! I kept it really simple and only had oopsie rolls on Monday and just bacon and eggs the rest of the days of the week. The first thing I did on Monday after the Egg Fast was to go to my beloved Starbucks! I missed my iced coffees so much that week that I had to get my fix. The Sugar Free Cinnamon Dolce is my new favorite flavor but I know I have to lessen the frequency of these Starbucks trips. I kept it keto the entire week by enjoying cauli-mash, fried chicken thighs, fried shrimp, roasted pork, avocado and lots of salads. It still amazes me that I get to eat all of these foods and still lose 70 pounds.

I was super energized this week! I cleaned my house like crazy and took so many walks with my daughter. The weather so was nice this week that I didn't want to stay in. My new FitBit Alta also pushed me to want to get my step goal in every single day. When you hit your goal it does this little fireworks animation that gets me excited! I wanted to see how well my FitBit did at the gym so I even got motivated to go. I haven't been there in so long that they changed the membership ID's! I did 15 minutes on the treadmill and 30 on the elliptical and felt great after. I didn't get to go three days like I planned or start the plank challenge but I will be attempting again this week.

  • Take vitamins and probiotics.
  • Get in 7000 daily steps.
  • Have one 10,000 step day.
  • Gym at least 3 times this week.
  • Bone broth for lunch at least every other day.
  • Start Plank Challenge.

Handwriting Letter Tiles Printable

I have been homeschooling my three year old consistently since September. We have our little routine and I have acquired a ton of homeschooling supplies. I find free lessons online that are fun for her with themes of characters she likes. I have recently found a whole bunch of nice workbooks at the discount stores and even Aldi's supermarket.

She is doing really well with everything I have taught her but the one thing that she was having difficulty with was writing. She did great with all of the tracing worksheets I have given her but wanted her to start freehand writing. She didn't understand what the lines on writing worksheets meant so her letters were there but all over the place. I tried teaching her what the lines meant but she didn't get it until I thought up the name tiles. My idea was to enlarge the lines and make tiles of them so that she could write the letters one at a time.

To my amazement it worked! My daughter was writing out her name using the guidelines correctly. Within a few days she knew how to write her entire name. A couple of days later she memorized how to spell her name. The first two days we used the tiles, I modeled how each letter should go on the guidelines and then let her do it. After two days I was giving her one tile at a time, asking her what letter came next and then had her write it. I am so proud of my little three year old. We are working on her last name now. She knows how to write every single letter and is now memorizing how to spell it.

Letter Tiles
Step 1: Download the name tiles page. Print out as many as you need for each letter in the first and last name.

Step 2: Cut each name tile out and laminate each tile. Use, erase and reuse.

**Now that my daughter can write every letter in her first and last name and using the guidelines correctly, I have moved on to writing strips. I found these strips in the teacher section of my Dollar Tree and have laminated them to reuse them.

What are your handwriting tips?

How I Lost 10 Pounds in 7 Days on the Egg Fast

The Egg Fast is mostly used when you are on a ketogenic or low carb, high fat diet and have a weight stall of more than two weeks. The Egg Fast formula is where you eat 1 tblsp of fat for each egg you eat. You are also allowed up to 6 ounces of cheese per day. That's it, eggs, fat and cheese for up to seven days. Some people do a 3-day, a 5-day or a 7-day like I did.

Although I technically never stalled since starting on August 31st I wanted to do the egg fast because my pounds lost per month had slowed down significantly. I was getting discouraged and even had a cheat weekend right before starting the fast. I gained 4.9 pounds over the cheat days so the 10 pounds lost was also my body getting rid of what I gained. I might have lost less than 10 pounds during the egg fast if I had not gained the weight.

There was no way I would be able to eat just straight up eggs and butter for seven days so I followed Egg Fast Meal Plan from the I Breathe I'm Hungry blog. I can't not believe how many delicious and creative recipes she thought up with just eggs, cheese and fat. I ate exactly what was on the menu plan and made sure to measure everything. There were times that I wasn't hungry but I still ate what I was supposed to eat. I didn't drink any diet soda, seltzer water or have any artificial sweeteners. I also made it a point to drink 112 ounces of water every day and took a magnesium citrate at night. Every morning I had coffee with 1 tblsp of MCT oil and 1 tblsp of Kerrygold butter.

I didn't exercise during the 7- Day fast because I wanted to see how much I could lose with just eating what was on the plan. I was so shocked and happy when I saw that I was 10 pounds down because that is result I hoped for. I definitely recommend the Egg Fast for a stall or a jumpstart to weight loss if you are already fat-adapted and have been doing a low carb high fat (keto) diet for at least a few months. I think if you are just starting on a low carb journey it might be a little hard to complete.

Bringing Back the Sobremesa Tradition

Growing up in a Puerto Rican household there was always a pot of coffee waiting in the kitchen for after dinner. I remember my grandmother's friends always staying for a "cafecito" (small coffee). As I grew older and we all became busier, those extra talks just didn't happen as much. Though I didn't continue the tradition of having a coffee pot on hand for sobremesa I always made sure to have NESCAFÉ® CLÁSICO™. It is so simple to make and I love that one spoon stirred into hot water creates a rich and bold coffee that I always remember having at my grandma's.

Although my mom lives about a mile away we don't see each other as much as I would like to. She works full time and then cares for my grandmother. When she does come over it's for a quick visit so that she can spend some time with us. I wanted to bring back the tradition of sobremesa to just spend some more one on one time with her. A sobremesa is when you linger over coffee after dinner for some amazing talks with your loved ones.

I arranged with my grandmother's home attendant to stay a little longer and cooked my mom's favorite dinner. She loves salads so I made a delicious chicken caesar salad with all of her favorite ingredients. For the sobremesa, I took out the pretty mugs I got from NESCAFÉ® and the NESCAFÉ® CLÁSICO™ coffee that I purchased at my local supermarket.  Along with the coffee I got some heavy cream and vanilla syrup.

I texted my mom to come over for dinner after work and told her not to worry about my grandma. When she came in we enjoyed our salads while we talked about our favorite Novelas. Then I prepared our coffees and told her to join me downstairs so we can enjoy the unexpected warm weather. It was nice spending quality time with my mom. We had such a good time that we already planned our next dinner and sobremesa.

Do you practice Sobremesa to spend more quality time with loved ones?

Weight Loss Journey: Week 31 + 32

Week 31: I had a very busy and stressful week and didn't have a chance to blog at all. I did good all week with my eating until the weekend came and I gave into my temptations and had a cheat dinner with sweets on Saturday and Sunday. I gained 4.9 pounds from the horrible eating. I didn't exercise at all because I hurt my back while I was reorganizing and moving around heavy items.

Week 32: I decided to try the Egg Fast to recover from the damage of the cheat meals and to jumpstart my weight loss. I am super excited to say that I lost 10 pounds! I am currently down 70.1 pounds and weigh less than when I originally started blogging about my weight loss. I really enjoyed doing the egg fast and will be doing it once a month to help keep my weight loss consistent. On Thursday I am going to be blogging about my experience on the egg fast with detail and video.

I followed the Egg Fast 7 - Day Meal plan from the I Breathe I'm Hungry Blog. I followed every single meal and didn't eat anything outside of the plan. I didn't drink diet soda or consume any artificial sweeteners. I didn't add any heavy cream to my coffee and had at least 112 ounces of water a day. Most of the food was absolutely delicious and I didn't even feel deprived. I was extremely full throughout the week and even had to force myself to eat to stick to the plan.

Although it is ok to exercise on the egg fast I decided not to exercise so that I could see how much I could lose by just following the meal plan. I felt energized the entire week and did lots of cleaning and walking. Although the weather was not best, I still went out for my walks. Over the weekend I unboxed my new FitBit Alta and it definitely gave me motivation to walk even more. I am even planning on going to the gym this week to give my Alta a workout :) I am also going to be starting up the FeFit Program where I left off.

  • Take vitamins and probiotics.
  • Get in 7000 daily steps.
  • Continue with the FeFit program.
  • Gym at least 3 times this week.
  • Bone broth for lunch at least every other day.
  • Start Plank Challenge.

Acoco Electric Nail Polisher

I have always had uneven and dry nail plates that always peeled. I would always use those big box nail buffers that were hard to use and too rough. I also tried to skip the buffers and go to nail ridge polish but it didn't make my nails look smooth enough so back to the buffers it was.

I was excited to try the Acoco Electric Nail Polisher, not only was it electric but the buffers were small enough to go evenly on the nail plate. It was easy to install the AA batteries and with one button that goes up and down for left and right it was super easy to use. I love that you get three different rollers so that it does all of the work in one tool.

The grey roller is great to shape your nails and to smooth out any deep ridges in the nail plate. The green roller buffs out any unevenness to the nail plate. The pink roller beautifully polishes the nail plate so that it looks like you used clear nail polish.
Three Steps to Get Shiny Nails
1. Use the included Gray roller insert to file your nails to your desired shape
Although you can file your nails to any shape as you wish, we do suggest a square shape for your nails to help all your nails keep a more beautiful shape and its growth
2. Use the included Green roller insert to smoothen the surface of your nails, and prepare for polishing. But take care not to buff your nails over 20s, or make your nails too thin
3. Use the included pink roller insert to polish your nails, and provide a natural looking shine, this step can be repeated until you achieve your favorite shiny level

You can order your own Acoco Electric Nail Polisher on Amazon.
