Little Me at Lord & Taylors and Meeting Santa

**I was invited to the event below and given a gift bag. All opinions are 100% my own.

This past Saturday my daughter and I headed out to the city to meet up with Santa. We went to the west side into the beautiful Lord & Taylors store. It was my first time there and I was amazed at how big the store was. It was fun for the toddler to go up seven flights of escalators. When we finally got to the 7th floor we headed on over to the Little Me section of the store and looked through hundreds of amazingly cute clothes. I went over to the newborn section and "awwww-ed" over the tiny little clothes.

There was a line to see Santa so my daughter patiently waited for her turn. While we were on the line the amazing staff from Little Me handed my daughter a cute gift bag with a whole bunch of goodies inside. They also had some yummy cookies with the Little Me logo. My daughter polished a whole one while we waited on line. Finally it was time to talk with Santa and he gave my daughter a whole conversation, made her dance and complimented the Candy Cane Glitter shirt I made.

Little Me was also generously monogramming every item of clothing purchased for free. Being a sewer myself I loved watching the two staff members at their sewing machines. There were so many beautiful clothes to choose from. My favorites were the pajamas. They had so many different ones from the standard two piece stretchy kind to the beautiful flannel and plaid ones. The plaid flannel nightgown would look adorable on any little girl on Christmas night.

Little Me specializes in clothing for Newborns and Infants. While at the Lord & Taylors store I also saw lots of pajamas for the other kids that went up to a size 10. My husband's best friend will be a father to twin girls in March so we will definitely be back to Little Me at Lord & Taylors for a couple of outfits for those little angels.

JC Penny Okie Dokie and The Good Dinosaur Screening

We were invited to attend attend theMOMs JC Penny Okie Dokie and Good Dinosaur Screening Event. We received an article of clothing from Okie Dokie. All opinions are 100% my own.

"What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct?" The Good Dinosaur movie answers that question with a story about the world of dinosaurs were an Apatosaurus named Arlo and a human named Spot meet. Spot helps Arlo face his fears and truly become the dinosaur he is meant to be.

Before we got to go see the movie we got to check out the newest additions of Okie Dokie kids clothes from JC Penny. My daughter quickly eyed the rack full of sparkly tutu's! They had two beautiful colors to choose from and the lights really brought out all of the glitter in the skirts. Also embellishing the skirt was a silver glittery elastic and glittery snowflakes. We also got to see some cute sweaters and pants for boys with the Good Dinosaur characters all over.

After she got to put on the tutu and model it in front of the big Arlo picture we went into the screening room. I was surprised that she sat and watched the whole thing! She is usually engaged and watching a movie only for the first half of it until we saw this one. As an adult I enjoyed it too. The sound effects and scenery were beautiful. The story was engaging for both a child and adult. I love the friendship that both Arlo and Spot have. Even though Spot doesn't talk in the movie it is great how he can still communicate with Arlo. In this stage of being a toddler they can be scared of many things so I love how this movie helps show that you can face your fears.

Get The Kids Ready for Back To School with Macy's!

“This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.“

It is that time of year where it's time to get ready for back to school! I remember the excitement of going clothes shopping when I was kid. My older sister would always steer me the right way on fashion. It felt nice to have a complete new outfit to start the school year right. Now that my daughter is older she has outgrown the cute baby clothes and is looking at more stylish clothes. She is such a girly girl and always goes for the pinks, purples and anything Disney Princess related. I could totally see her rocking that Elsa shirt and cute jeans below.

Since Macy's is a one-stop destination for hip school fashion it makes it easy on parents. It saves so much time when you can just find everything in one store especially when you have more than one child. I love that you can find all the latest styles and brands in just one place and with the huge stores there is something for every taste. There are about 800 locations in the states alone so you are bound to find a Macy's conveniently located to you.

To celebrate back to school, Macy's is inviting everyone for an afternoon of crafts and activities including Disney Princess and Star Wars coloring books! I know my daughter is going to enjoy making her own Princess crown too. Kids will also get the chance to pose for a picture in the Disney Princess and Star Wars-themed photo booths.

If you are in the Bronx or NYC area, join me on Saturday, August 15 at 4PM at Macy's in the Bay Plaza Mall, Bronx N.Y. for a fun filled day at the Macy's Back To School Event. If you are outside of this area you can click on the link to find an event near you.

What are your kid's back to school style?
