Father's Day Shopping with the Toddler + DIY Wrapping Paper

I knew my husband would be a great dad but I never knew how great until I saw him with our daughter. He works very hard so that I could be a stay at home mom. After working long hours he comes home to a very active toddler. As soon as he walks into the door she runs to him and tells him about her day. Then she gather's up a whole bunch of her toys and asks him to play with her. He never complains and just plays with her. He even plays with her little Disney Princesses and combs their hair!

Every time June comes along I start planning on how I am going to make his Father's Day special. A gift for him is always cologne because he always asks me to pick one. He says that he wears cologne for me so it's a smell I should like. Now that my daughter is three and she understands why we are getting a gift for Daddy I decided to take her with me to Macy's to purchase a gift set. I love that my local Macy's is just a few blocks away so it was a great time to just take a stroll with her to get daddy a gift.

My husband and I have been talking about a weekend away on a boat so I was automatically drawn to the Nautica Life Cologne Gift Set. I love the brand message of the Nautica man because it reminds me of my husband who has a strong connection to his family, traditional values and is romantic to me at times. When I smelled it I could smell sea salt, ginger, sage, lavender and a little bit of woodsy essence, I knew it would be perfect for my husband. I picked it up and walked back home with the toddler.

As soon as we got home and settled I got out some old wrapping paper and cut it out to be the size I need to wrap the gift set. I taped it down to my daughter's table, set out some paints and let her print her hand print all over the wrapping paper. I let it completely dry and then I wrapped the gift set to give to my husband on Father's Day.
