Weight Loss Charm Bracelet How To
Thursday, February 25, 2016
I have been on this current weight loss journey for almost 6 months and have lost a total of 54.2 pounds. This is the first time in a weight loss journey that it is coming easy to me so I am excited! I want to celebrate my successes so I decided to reward myself with a weight loss charm bracelet.
The weight loss charm bracelet will help motivate me to reach my goals and to hold me accountable. I am planning on giving myself a new charm for every 10 pounds that I lose. I will also add charms for big milestones like 50 pound lost, 75 pounds, etc. If for any reason I gain 5 pounds or more I will remove a charm. I think that by wearing and looking at the charm bracelet it will help keep me on track. There is no way I am going to want to remove a hard earned charm. I want each charm to mean something so that it makes me feel more accomplished.
Since I have lost over 50 pounds I have earned five charms:
10 Pounds: Number 10 for my first 10 pounds lost.
20 Pounds: A mom charm because I am doing this for my daughter.
30 Pounds: A sneaker because I am enjoying mommy and daughter walks.
40 Pounds: A heart because I am loving this way of eating.
50 Pounds: Number 50 for a milestones of 50 pounds lost.
Supplies:
- Sterling Silver Charm Bracelet
- Sterling Silver Charms
- Jump Rings
- 2 pliers
2. Place one end of the jump ring onto the charm bracelet. Place the charm on the other end of the jump ring.
3. Carefully twist the jump ring to close it with the pliers.
4. Repeat for each charm.
Every time I add a new charm I will be posting it to Instagram and Facebook, so make sure you follow me on those channels. Next Charm Planned: Woman exercising for being successful with the FeFit Exercise Program.
If you had a weight loss charm bracelet what kind of charms would be on it?
2016 Weight Loss Command Center + Water Tracker
Thursday, January 7, 2016
I made the first version of my Weight Loss Command Center in March and it is a great reminder to keep on with my weight loss journey. I am a very visual person and the type that succeeds when I plan ahead and keep track. Since March I made some weight loss tracker magnetic pom poms that I upgraded it to some cool bottle caps ones.
I use the upper left hand whiteboard square to write down what I will be eating the next day. This helps me track my food the day before on My Fitness Pal. I like to track before eating so that I can try to fit everything I want to eat while still staying under my calorie and carb goal.
I use the middle magnetic square to keep track of how many pounds I have lost. I use the magnetic pom poms to keep track of the one's digit and the bottle cap magnets to keep track of the 10's digit. Let me tell you that every Monday that I can to add more pounds lost makes my day!
My motivational poster is to the left and I like to find motivational quotes and sayings that I can look at when I am having a hard time with my weight loss efforts. I have also added some pictures of my daughter to the frame because she is definitely one of the biggest reasons I want to get healthy.
The bottom middle cork board square is where I keep my monthly calendar. Here is where I plan the exercise I will be doing for the month. I also give myself a reminder to take my measurements the last week of the month.
Since I have been having a hard time drinking at least 64 ounces of water I decided to make a fun way to track my water intake. I printed out the glass of water and arrow image on card stock and then laminated it for durability. Every time I drink 8 ounces of water I get to put the arrow higher. I will probably make that my preschooler's job so that she can nag me to drink more water.
Do you use something like a Weight Loss Command Center to track your progress?
