My 20 month old is in a super picky stage right now. I have a hard to getting her to eat anything that is not pancakes or grilled cheese. She also loves all kinds of fruit and yogurt so I get some healthy nutrition in her but it's still a struggle for her to eat whole meals. I try to give her something different every few days but she still refuses. She will take one look at the food and tell me "nope" and run away.
I was super happy when I received the Happy Tot Toddler bars in two different flavors in my January Bluum Box. I really love how they use all natural, healthy, organic, and gluten free ingredients in their products. My daughter has enjoyed their baby cereal, pouches and baby snacks. I was excited to try something from their toddler collection.
I offered her the Apple and Kale one a couple of hours after breakfast where I would have given her a fruit snack. As I handed it to her she looked at me with a puzzled look. I told her "snack" and she looked interested. I cut a little piece and offered it to her and she took it hesitantly. She finally tried it and ate the whole thing. Then she said "more snack." I cut the bar in half and gave it to her and she happily ate it. I saved the rest for another snack later on. The next day I gave her the Mixed Berry Crunch and she liked it too. I was happy she ate something really healthy. I will definitely be buying more of these in the future. They are also great for the on the go.
**I was not compensated nor received a sample or product in any away from the company. I chose to review this product on my own because I felt that it would be useful to my readers.
It is great when they like things that are good for them :) Thanks for reviewing--will have to give them a try.
ReplyDeleteI'll Have To Get For My Kids!
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of grandchildren who are uber picky eaters. I'm going to tell my daughter about these. Maybe they will be willing to give them a try.

ReplyDeleteMy 14 year old has the same issue...he only eats what he wants to eat. I figure that as long as I keep offering him the right foods, eventually he'll give in ;) I may just buy some of these, though...if they worked for you and your baby, they might work for me and my baby :_)
ReplyDeleteI might have to give these a try. I have a super picky toddler, but he loves granola bars. Maybe I could get him to try these!

ReplyDeleteI love when you can sneak healthy into snacks children actually WANT to eat! My son loves the taste of apple which I'm sure will mask the fact that it's also Kale so my son doesn't turn his nose up. Thanks for sharing!
