Save on Easter Dinner with the Favado App

This post was sponsored by Favado however all opinions are 100% by own.

I always have holiday dinners in my house. I love to cook and I love having my family over. Every time I have to cook a big meal for a holiday or birthday I make sure to look at the circulars of my local supermarkets weeks ahead to slowly buy the ingredients that are on sale that I am going to need. I then search coupon sites that match deals to coupons. I save a lot of money doing this but it became so time consuming.

That is until I got the Favado App. It is a free app that you can get on Apple or Android devices. You just easily create an account, enter your zipcode, pick the stores you shop in and get a whole list of deals.

You can browse through food categories and even compare prices of two stores at the same time. My favorite feature is the paper clip! Every time you see a paper clip near a food item there is a coupon that you can score with that particular item to get an even better deal.

If you still haven't planned your Easter dinner or want to try something new Favado even created an Easter list and recipes you can just print out. I definitely want to try those potato rolls! If you want to check it out just click the image below.

3 Months Down and Back to the 2 Week Dr. Oz Plan

First of all I would love to thank everyone who has been reading my posts on my blog, Facebook and twitter. Your words of encouragement and congratulations really make it easier for me to keep going. Writing about my journey and having so many awesome people comment makes me so accountable.

I can not believe that it has been 3 months already. I remember the first week like it was yesterday. The number on the scale is really not important to me. What is important to me is how I feel. I am so energetic, happy and confident about myself. I feel proud that I have the energy to clean the house, cook a healthy meal, play with my daughter and go to the gym. Three months ago I could not do it all. I still have a long way to go but I know I can do it.

Weigh In: I lost 1.6 pounds for a total lost of 34.2 pounds.

Nutrition: I finally did it! I tried Quinoa! I researched and researched on the best way to cook it. I then took the advice of one of my readers to try it and substitute it in a recipe I already make. I decided to make Vegetable Fried Quinoa. It was so good and tasted just like my regular fried rice. The quinoa is so mild that it took the taste of the soy, sesame oil and veggies. (Recipe post coming soon!). Although I didn't count calories the way I wanted to I still ate super healthy things like green smoothies, matcha, quinoa and yummy salads.

Fitness:
I went to the gym two times this week and followed the incline interval program again. I felt the program getting easier so I upped the speed. That really kicked my butt and I was exhausted at the end but it did feel good. I missed the 3rd gym day due to a sore ankle. I didn't get to go on a long walk this week but I did go on three short walks instead. I was kind of amazed that I still wanted to go out after going to the gym. I went to the gym super early the both days my husband was off so that we could take her to the park and run around with her. Playing with a toddler at the park burns extra calories :)

Last weeks goals:
  • Count my calories
  • Prepare quinoa - GOAL MET!
  • Go to the gym at least 3 times + a long walk (3 short)
  • Resistance Band workout 3 times
  • Drink more water - GOAL MET!
This week:
  • Go to the gym at least 3 times + a long walk (or exercise video)
  • Resistance Band workout 3 times
  • Drink at least 2 cups of green tea a day
  • Take a multivitamin and probiotic a day
  • Complete the Dr. Rapid Weight Loss Plan

THINK AGAIN! Game Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

"Your Right Answer.. Might Be Wrong!"

My husband and I used to do game night at least once every two weeks in our house before we had a baby. Since having our daughter game night has been cut short until I got the opportunity to review the THINK AGAIN! game. It gave us an excuse to bring game night back.

THINK AGAIN! is a fun game that will have you laughing for hours. It is recommended for ages 10 and up and at least 3 players. You get a deck of cards with 5 questions each. That means you get a total of 300 questions! One player will read a question out loud and then hold up the next card which has a "correct" or "wrong" word or graphic. If you see correct you answer the question correctly. If you see wrong you answer the question with a different answer.

What makes it so fun is that when it is a question that you already know like "What color are smurfs?" your brain automatically wants to yell out blue. If the "wrong" card was shown you would be wrong. I had my best-friend, her husband, my sister and her fiance over with my husband and I. I can not tell you how much we laughed at each other as we would get so many answers wrong. My best friend ended up winning because she is a really good listener.

I highly recommend this game. Trust me it will having you and your guest laughing like crazy. You can check out the game on Iello Games' website: www.iellogames.com and connect with them on facebook and twitter.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
