Though my back pain as gotten a lot better with my weight loss, I still get back pain when I have had a long day on my feet. I have tried massages and pain creams but those are just temporary fixes. I was always interested in trying a pulse massager so the timing was perfect when I was asked to review one.
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) uses electric current by a device to stimulate the nerves for pain relief. The Santamedical TENS pulse massager has microcomputer controls so that you can easily adjust it with six automatic programs and three different styles of modes. The Santamedical device also has two channel systems so that you can work on two areas at the same time.
Santamedical TENS Pulse Massager comes with:
- Six Auto Modes (stimulation programs)
- Fully-adjustable Speed & Intensity
- High Frequency stimulation to relieve pain
- 4 Attachment pads
- Power: DC 6V (4 AAA batteries included)
- LCD shows massage style, intensity and time remaining.
- Three selectable massages
- Small and Lightweight - At only 5.3 Oz
The TENS device was really easy it use. All you have to do is connect all of the wires, stick the pads to the body part that needs help and turn on the machine. You can choose the strength level and the different programs by body part.
I used it on my lower back and my husband used it on his knee. We both felt relief right after and even into the next day. My only complaint is that although the pads still stay on the sticky part is already starting to wear off only after a couple of uses. You can purchase additional pads or an adhesive cream to remedy the problem.
