Fall Weight Loss: Month 1

It's nice when my husband and I are on the same page with our weight loss journey because we are very supportive and motivating to each other. We have a trip to the Poconos in a couple of weeks and a trip to Texas in a month so we are really motivated to lose weight. We both have our short term goals set and we are kind of in a contest to see who meets it first.

I did really well with my Keto eating plan and kept within my macros. I made a lot of things we normally eat lower carb like mashed "potatoes" and "mac" and cheese. It was fun creating and experimenting with new recipes. Some worked and some didn't so I will have to research more on these recipes. I was kind of craving something sweet so I am glad I found the Keto Chocolate Mug Cake from Ruled.Me

Cutting out the carbs and sugar has really given me a lot of energy. I have been cleaning like crazy so I know I am well into my journey again. It was rainy all week so I pretty much stayed indoors. I didn't get to start the 28-Day Home Workout Challenge on Monday like I orignally planned. I did start on Sunday which is better late than never. I am going to try really hard to complete it without missing any days. I printed out the challenge and laminated it to put it on my Weight Loss Command Center.

  • Continue with the Workout Challenge.
  • Log in my food intake every day
  • Make sure to take my multivitamin and probiotic every day.
  • Research and make at least 4 new low-carb recipes including some dessert ones.
  • Read at least two chapters of the Keto Clarity Book

What are your favorite low-carb recipes?

  6. A weight loss command center is a great idea to keep all of your stats in one place, as well as a motivator to keep going when you might not feel like it. I could use a little station like this. I don't have many go-to low-card recipes, but if you ever need some low sodium recipes, I am your woman, since my husband was diagnosed with high blood pressure and has since adopted a low sodium diet.
