Did you know that May 7th was National Mom's Nite Out? I got my mom, sister and some friends together to celebrate the day while being kid-free! We do take the time to hang out together but it is always with the kids. While that is ok and the kids do have fun together there is always a kid asking for something or a little fight of no-sharing to break up, that us moms barely have a chance to chat. This time we got the help of the dad's to take the kids so that we could spend a couple of hours together for some movie watching, snack eating and crafting.
As soon as my guest walked in they were greeted with a table full of snacks! We had cookies, muffins and party mixes that were generously supplied in our party pack. We were also gifted some beautiful wine glasses that we would decorate later.
As soon as everyone was in, we got comfy on the couches and some chairs and watched the hilarious "Mom's Night Out" movie. It was fun to watch as we could all definitely relate to the craziness of being a mom and trying to find time for ourselves. While the movie was playing I got out some colorful puffy fabric paint and let the moms each decorate their own glass.
After the glass painting and movie we had fun with the photo props! After that I handed out the gift bags that had some HP Photo paper, Sunkist fruit gellies and some more yummy muffins from Entenmann's.
I wish the party could have lasted longer but all us mommies had to get back to our beautiful children. We vowed to have these Mom's Nite Out parties more than once a year.
