JC Penny Okie Dokie and The Good Dinosaur Screening

We were invited to attend attend theMOMs JC Penny Okie Dokie and Good Dinosaur Screening Event. We received an article of clothing from Okie Dokie. All opinions are 100% my own.

"What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct?" The Good Dinosaur movie answers that question with a story about the world of dinosaurs were an Apatosaurus named Arlo and a human named Spot meet. Spot helps Arlo face his fears and truly become the dinosaur he is meant to be.

Before we got to go see the movie we got to check out the newest additions of Okie Dokie kids clothes from JC Penny. My daughter quickly eyed the rack full of sparkly tutu's! They had two beautiful colors to choose from and the lights really brought out all of the glitter in the skirts. Also embellishing the skirt was a silver glittery elastic and glittery snowflakes. We also got to see some cute sweaters and pants for boys with the Good Dinosaur characters all over.

After she got to put on the tutu and model it in front of the big Arlo picture we went into the screening room. I was surprised that she sat and watched the whole thing! She is usually engaged and watching a movie only for the first half of it until we saw this one. As an adult I enjoyed it too. The sound effects and scenery were beautiful. The story was engaging for both a child and adult. I love the friendship that both Arlo and Spot have. Even though Spot doesn't talk in the movie it is great how he can still communicate with Arlo. In this stage of being a toddler they can be scared of many things so I love how this movie helps show that you can face your fears.

The MOMs Disney Pixar Inside Out Movie Screening

**Thanks to The MOMs inviting me to an exclusive screening of the Disney Pixar movie Inside Out . All opinions are 100% my own.

My daughter loves going to the movies! As soon as she saw the preview for the Disney Pixar Inside Out movie she let me know that we would be seeing that one. Every time she saw the commercials for Inside Out she told me, "Mommy I wanna see that!" Then I had to explain to her that we had to wait until next month to see it. The day came a week early for us as we got to attend an exclusive The MOMs screening of Inside Out. As soon as I told my daughter we were going she excitedly screamed "Yay!". Mind you I told her a week ahead of the date so she has been asking me about it for a week! (Note to self: Tell her about the event the day of!)

The movie is about a girl named Riley who is a super happy mid-western 11-year-old girl who's world changes in a flash when they move to San Francisco. All of Riley's emotions come out to guide her through a life changing event. We get to meet Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust. I love how cute the characters are and my daughter loved how colorful they all were. As a parent I love that this movie is teaching kids about their emotions. Now that my daughter is three I can really talk to her and ask her why she is feeling a certain way.

Not only did we get to see the adorable movie ahead of time but we also got to meet Bill Hader. He is one my husband's and I favorite SNL actor. He played Fear in the movie and his character sure got the whole theater laughing.

I highly recommend taking your kids to see this one. It's cute, funny, colorful and a movie that the adults can enjoy too.
