Weight Loss Journey: Week 30

I lost 0.6 pounds for a total weight loss of 65 pounds. I was pleasantly surprised that I lost weight this week. I was expecting to gain weight since I went way over my carbs at Easter dinner.

I did really well the whole week and had an appetite for three meals almost everyday. I kept the bulletproof coffee to only a couple of times this week so I could eat a regular breakfast the other days. I have been really enjoying spinach salads lately for lunch and dinner. Spinach has a lot more nutrients and fiber than lettuce so I have been making the swap from regular lettuce. I was going back and forth on whether I was going to have a cheat meal or not on Easter Sunday. I really didn't want to because weigh in was the next day but it was hard not too with all the peer pressure. We went to an Italian restaurant so I had to search really good to find something low carb. I decided on Steak Pizzaiola which was steak topped with onions, peppers and a light tomato sauce. I substituted the pasta side dish for a caesar salad and gave the croutons to my sister. I did have some fried calamari that was breaded and had a stick of foccacia bread.

I was very active this week. I completed the four workouts of the FeFit program for the week and was surprised at how well I did all of the exercises. I definitely feel stronger and more flexible than when I first started doing the exercise program. I doubled up my exercise on Thursday so that I can have Friday to Sunday free to spend when my family. Both workouts on Thursday were pretty tough so on Friday I was really sore. We went to the park a few times this week and even held our #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate at the park.

  • Get in 7000 daily steps.
  • Continue with the FeFit program.

Weight Loss Journey: Week 29

I lost 0.8 pounds for a total weight loss of 64.4 pounds.

I stayed on plan again this week even though I went out almost everyday. I started my days off at Starbucks. I have been obsessed with their iced coffee lately and since I have one on the way to the park I thought I would treat myself. I make sure the iced coffee is unsweetened and then have them add a few pumps of sugar free vanilla and sugar free caramel. I didn't eat breakfast this week because I didn't get hungry until after 2pm. I started eating breakfast for lunch and enjoyed lots of eggs and low carb biscuits with sausage. We ordered out a couple of times for dinner and had my favorite, pernil (pork shoulder) and avocado.

I went out a lot this week so I didn't really focus on doing exercise at home. I took long walks most of the days in the week and had lots of fun with my daughter at the park. She wanted to chase after me and I actually had the energy to do it. Once a 3 year old finds something fun you are expected to do it over and over so I was happy I could keep up with her. I didn't feel winded or have any aches or pains while running or even after we finished. I totally surprised myself when I climbed the ladders at the jungle gyms and hopped down a few times. It was just fun being a kid with my daughter and she really enjoyed having a silly mom this week. On the weekend the weather got quite a bit colder so we stayed in and I caught up on my FeFit Workouts. I did two on Saturday and one on Sunday to complete this week's plan.

  • Take vitamins and probiotics.
  • Get in 7000 daily steps.
  • Continue with the FeFit program.
  • One walk of at least 10,000 steps.
  • Start Plank Challenge.

Weight Loss Journey: Week 28

I gained 1.4 pounds for an adjusted total weight loss of 63.6 pounds. I got myself ready to see a weight gain or no change with the weigh-in this week since I lost 6.6 pounds last week. It was a little disappointing to see the gain so I went to my under-the-bed storage bin. This is where I keep the clothes that are too small for me. I took it out and tried on some clothes and was surprised that I fit into more than half of the bin! I have so many clothes to wear now that I have to start going out more to wear them :)

I am so happy that I am back to my normal healthy self and have an appetite after being sick. I was enjoying some of the low carb biscuits I made during the weekend for lunch with bacon and eggs. Since I had big dinners I wasn't hungry until later the next day so on Thursday I treated myself to a sugar-free Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee for breakfast and on Friday I treated myself to a sugar-free Starbucks Iced Coffee. I went out a lot this week but I still stayed on plan by getting my favorite at Wendys, double stack, no bun, add bacon with a side caesar salad no croutons. This week I also got to play with some Sukrin products and made some delicious Keto Pecan Brittle and Keto Sesame Chicken Wings

I planned on going back to doing the FeFit Exercise program this week but the weather was so beautiful that I decided to take some walks with my daughter. We did lots of walking and shopping and had fun bonding girl time. Then on Thursday and Friday my husband was off so we took her out to the park. I had fun chasing and running around with her and pushing her on the swing.

  • Take vitamins and probiotics.
  • Get in 7000 daily steps.
  • Get back on track with the FeFit program.
  • One walk of at least 10,000 steps.
  • Adjust planned workouts for week missed.
  • Start Plank Challenge.

Weight Loss Journey: Week 27

I lost 6.6 pounds for a total weight loss of 65 pounds. This was a pretty tough week for me. I got sick on Sunday night and my husband had to leave super early the next day for a business trip out of state.

I had chills, body aches and a really sore throat. I woke up each morning with lots of pain in my throat. I really had no appetite and had to basically force myself to have something in the afternoon. The first couple of days I had some of my bone broth for a late lunch and then during the evening I would get my appetite back and eat a big dinner. After dinner I would get super full and not eat anything after. My fasting hours were about 18-20 hours since I never had an appetite in the morning and afternoon and then didn't eat anything after dinner. When my appetite did come back I had no sense of taste from being sick so I just kept it at two meals with a bulletproof coffee in the afternoon and homemade soup in the evening.

I planned to take my daughter out for mommy and daughter dates while my husband was away but that didn't go as planned when I got sick. I was too achy and tired to do any exercise so I took a break from exercise and walking. My daughter and I stayed in bed and watched Disney Princess Movies. It was nice to kick back and relax with my daughter. On Friday my husband came back and I was feeling better so I did some walking while we took my daughter out to the movies and some shopping.

  • Take vitamins and probiotics.
  • Get in 7000 daily steps.
  • FeFit Exercise Program 4 times a week.
  • One walk of at least 10,000 steps.
  • Adjust planned workouts for week missed.
  • Start Plank Challenge.

Weight Loss Journey: Week 26

I lost 4.2 pounds for a total weight loss of 58.4 pounds. This week makes 6 months that I have been doing this ketogenic diet. It has been working for me because I never feel hungry and love the foods I get to eat.

I followed my eating plan except for one day. I am still enjoying the coconut bread I talked about last week. There is so many things I can do with it like make breakfast sandwiches, regular sandwiches with mayo and so much more. It's as easy as making a pancake so I love that I have that option when I don't have oopsie rolls waiting for me in the fridge. I decided to have my first cheat meal since starting this journey. Since it's been six months I felt that my body could tolerate a cheat without doing too much damage. I had sesame chicken and french fries from my favorite Chinese restaurant. Unfortunately they changed their fries to some seasoned ones I didn't care for so I only had a few. My husband and I shared the sesame chicken and I also had a shrimp roll. I had my cheat meal and that was it. I didn't eat any dessert, have any soda or had any leftovers the next day.

I started with my planned exercise of the FeFit Exercise Program. I love that the program is going back around to the workouts we did in the beginning because it shows me how far I have come. On Thursday and Friday we did a ton of walking around and shopping while my husband prepared for his business trip this week. Since my daughter and I got bored of my husband looking at luggage we decided to chase after each other in the spacious Costco. It was fun being that silly energetic mom that I have always wanted to be. On Saturday I twisted my ankle so I wasn't able complete two of the FeFit workouts I had planned over the weekend.

  • Take vitamins and probiotics.
  • Get in 7000 daily steps.
  • FeFit Exercise Program 4 times a week.
  • One walk of at least 10,000 steps.
  • Make up FeFit Workouts missed.

Weight Loss Journey: Week 25

I gained 0.8 pounds for an adjusted total of 54.2 pounds. A little disappointed by the gain but all I can do is continue. I am going to wait to see my results for next week to see if I have to adjust what I am doing.

I stayed on plan almost the entire week except for one day. I went out with my husband for a belated Valentine's Day date and didn't track before I got to the restaurant. I ate things that were part of my plan but I ate too much vegetables and too much cheese and that made my carb count go up to 32 grams. My plan is to stay under 20 grams of total carbs so going over by 12 grams isn't terrible but I wish I would have planned a little better. It was a good dinner and I did enjoy the company with my husband so I am not stressing about going over. I ran out of bone broth and didn't have a chance to make some so I was missing the extra boost of energy I would get from it in the middle of the day. I made a new coconut bread recipe that I found on YouTube and have been enjoying it as my "bread" for my breakfast sandwiches.

Since I knew my sister would be here this week while my niece and nephew were on Winter break, I made sure to exercise on my days off.  I wanted to make sure that I had enough time to just enjoy the visits with them. I am really committed to completing the FeFit 90 Day Exercise program so I don't want to miss a workout. On Friday my in-laws came a little earlier than I expected while I was in the middle of a workout. I just excused myself,  took my FeFit DVD, popped it in my laptop and continued the workout in my bed room. The plan is going back around to the workouts we did in the first week so it was nice to see how much better I can do the exercises.

  • Take vitamins and probiotics.
  • Get in 7000 daily steps.
  • FeFit Exercise Program 4 times a week
  • One walk of at least 10,000 steps
  • Start the Plank Challenge

Weight Loss Journey: Week 24

I lost 2.6 pounds for a total weight loss of 55 pounds. I am happy to see the scale moving a little better these past couple of weeks. `

On Sunday I did oopsie rolls, low carb biscuits and pizza puffs to last for the week. It made my job a whole lot easier the rest of the week because I got to cook less. My husband loves my cauliflower mash and could eat it everyday if I let him so I also made a big batch to last him a few days. My appetite is lessening which is a good thing because it means my body is keto-adapted. I have worked my way up to one tablespoon of MCT oil in my bulletproof coffee so it has been giving me a ton of energy. I did three days of Intermittent fasting with bulletproof coffee after a 16-18 hour fast and then a cup of bone broth 4 hours later. Then I had a big dinner which was my last meal of the day. When I eat a big dinner I don't get hungry for a long time after I wake up the next day, so my eating window is getting smaller.

I don't know if it was the super cold weather or snow, but I wasn't as enthusiastic to exercise this week. I woke up wanting to stay under my warm blanket. After having my late lunches I would then get the energy to get up and do my workouts. I continued with the FeFit Exercise program and got through each day. The exercises are getting easier to do and I could feel my core muscles getting stronger. On my walk day I did another Leslie Sansone Walk YouTube video since I didn't want to go out in the cold.

  • Take vitamins and probiotics.
  • Get in 7000 daily steps.
  • FeFit Exercise Program 4 times a week
  • One walk of at least 10,000 steps
  • Bulk cooking by making "breads" and bone broth for the week.

Weight Loss Journey: Week 23

I lost 2.4 pounds for a total weight loss of 52.4 pounds. So I started this week wanting to have a cheat meal. I have been disappointed in my weight loss numbers for the past few weeks so thought I could shock my body with a high carb meal. My sister was in town this weekend so I planned to go out to a restaurant on Friday night and have the meal then. We went shopping in the morning and I bought a few outfits that were on clearance. Even though they were a size too small I couldn't beat the price. I tried everything on when I got home, and to my amazement everything fit! I am size smaller than I thought and so happy! I decided not to cheat and trust the process for now. I am not saying I will never have a cheat meal, but just not now.

I am happy to say I stayed on plan the entire week. I cooked and ate at home for every meal except one. Since my sister, niece and nephew came over I treated everyone to some outside food. When I came home with the food I made my bulletproof coffee and was satisfied. Towards the end of the week my appetite lessened so I had bulletproof coffee for breakfast and bone broth for lunch. Then as my appetite grew I had a big dinner and then called it a night with no nighttime snacks. On Sunday I had so much energy that I baked for the whole week! I made pizza puffs, low carb biscuits and oopsie rolls. I still have a huge batch of bone broth in the freezer that I will be enjoying too.

Whenever my sister is in town we go out and take super long walks. Even though we talk almost every day on the phone we still have so much to say to each other when we see each other. We talk so much that I never notice how far we have walked. I continued with the FeFit Exercise Program and am really pleased at how fit I am feeling. There were a couple of days that I didn't feel like exercising but the calendar with exercise planned on it was staring at me and I just had to do it.

  • Take vitamins and probiotics.
  • Get in 7000 daily steps.
  • FeFit Exercise Program 4 times a week
  • One walk of at least 10,000 steps
  • Intermittent Fast with Bulletproof Coffee and Bone Broth for 3 days this week.
