Dr. Oz 2 Week Rapid Weight-Loss Plan - Day 1

Today is the first day that I am following the Dr. Oz 2 Week Rapid Weight-Loss Plan. (Click Here to read my first post about the Plan with links to all the information you will need.) As soon as I woke up I drank a cup of hot water with 1/2 of a lemon squeezed in. I also took one probiotic and 1/2 of a multi-vitamin. I didn't like the water too much. No fun drinking something super sour in the morning.

Next up was the breakfast smoothie. I was a little concerned about how the flaxseeds would taste. It tasted ok because the flaxseeds gave it a little nutty-oatmeal taste. It was a bit thick so I was able to sip on it slowly. It did keep me full for a few hours.

A few hours later I made a big salad and drank a big cup of water. In my salad I had lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, and a sprinkle of cashews. I also made my own dressing with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, a little bit of minced garlic, a sprinkle of oregano and black pepper.

During the day I snacked on some veggies like carrots sticks and some nuts. I also ate my daily Greek yogurt and some pickles. For dinner I was in a rush so couldn't think of something better so it was baked chicken breast, brown rice and some veggies. Didn't enjoy the meal too much. The veggies had corn in it which I wasn't supposed to have but I didn't have time to pick them out.

Overall I felt fine and didn't feel hungry at all. The only complaint I have is that I crave something sweet. Finishing the night with a detox bath, then the other half of my multi-vitamin and a green tea.

    1. I soak in a really hot bath with 2 cups of Epsom salts and 1 cup of baking soda mixed in for 40 minutes. After the soak you feel sweaty and tired. I think it is from your body working to remove toxins from your body.

  7. This seems like an interesting weight loss plan. I'm going to check out your original post on it. I remember looking at a Dr. Oz approved juice cleanse. Yes, I have a juicer and I juice, but not as a diet...just supplemental. Anyway good luck on your weight loss!

  9. Sounds and looks just like my type of diet. I also wouldn't enjoy a sour drink in the morning, I tried once, hated it and then cheated by adding lots of honey :) So much for my diet, hehe
