2 Months and 3 Weeks Down!

Yesterday was weigh in day and I gained 0.2 pounds bringing down the total to 32.6 pounds loss. I am hoping the weight gain is from muscle growth since I have been going to the gym and becoming more active.

Nutrition:
I really didn't plan my meals for the week so I had a lot of days that I ate out. Though I tried to make healthy choices nothing is as good as cooking yourself and knowing exactly what goes into your food.

I tried the low carb La Tortilla Wraps and love them. I made a breakfast quesadilla one day and a tuna wrap another day (review and recipe coming soon!).

Fitness:
I went to the gym three times this week and followed an incline interval program I found on Pinterest. I wrote out the plan on a little piece of paper and taped it on to the treadmill. (Yes I did bring a little tape dispenser with me :)). It was really challenging so I had to modify the incline and speed to keep my heart rate in the correct zone.

I went on two walks this week. I did a short walk on Wednesday and a long walk on Saturday with toddler in tow.

Last weeks goals:
  • Count my calories
  • Prepare quinoa
  • Go to the gym at least 3 times + a long walk - GOAL MET!
  • Resistance Band workout 3 times
  • Drink more water - GOAL MET!
This week:
  • Count my calories
  • Go to the gym at least 3 times + a long walk
  • Resistance Band workout 3 times
  • Drink more water
  • Prepare quinoa

  1. Whoo-hoo! Good for you for sticking with this journey for so long. I think I would have quit before 2 months and 3 weeks. 1 more week and you're at a full 3 months! That's so exciting!

  2. When I was going to a trainer he told me not to focus on the # so much as take measurements and see the inches change...your probley right that the gain is due to muscle. Keep up the great work.

  13. Good for you! I was inspired by your progress to look up the Dr. OZ plan. Though I have all I need I have not been able to stick to it because of being out of the house too often these past two weeks. I feel so very fat I need to do something about it.

  16. Don't be discouraged by the minute weight gain. It probably is muscle weight. Plus, muscle weighs more than fat, so chances are you've lost more fat.

  17. I have been very frustrated because I have tried many times on trimming and toning down my belly but I can't really keep track it is because of diet -it is so nice to eat foods especially when they are mouthwatering like that wraps you have.

  32. I have been on a roller coaster ride the majority of my life when it comes to weight. Muscle is heavier then fat so that gain is probably from that. Maybe you should start taking measurements--those are probably still going down!
