Weigh In: I lost 0.6 pounds for a total lost of 39.2 pounds.
Nutrition: I didn't do well at all this week. I ate out a lot and didn't make great choices. I did try chia seeds in an overnight pineapple and coconut oatmeal. I am so in love with overnight oatmeal! I thought I wouldn't like it because it wasn't hot but I was pleasantly surprised. I will be trying other flavors this week.
Fitness:
I went to the gym only once this week. I did have a great workout that one day and did an incline treadmill workout for 30 minutes and a interval elliptical workout for 30 minutes. My sister was in town so I did a lot of walking on several days with her.
I was pretty disappointed by my actions last week. I have to try to make it to the gym more often and get my strength training in. Before becoming pregnant I was pretty fit and was doing the couch to 5k and loved doing planks. I hope to start on those challenges again this week. As far as my nutrition I have my week planned out and bought all of the groceries I will need. I am hoping that keeps me on track.
Last weeks goals:
- Go to the gym at least 3 times + a long walk (or exercise video)
- Resistance Band workout with added floor/ab work 3 times.
- Drink probiotic coffee once a day. - GOAL MET!
- Try Chia seeds. - GOAL MET!
- Drink more water.
This weeks goals:
- Go to the gym at least 3 times + a long walk (or exercise video)
- Resistance Band workout 3 times
- Start Plank Challenge
- Start Couch to 5k Challenge
- Stay within a 1400-1700 calorie range
- Limit white processed carbs.
Congrats on your work out regimen... I'm struggling with it at the moment. I need to get back into physical activity, anything.
ReplyDeleteAnd what's probiotic coffee? sounds interesting.

It can be very stressful being a first time mom! I gained a lot with my first son, lost it and gained again with my second. For the 3rd pregnancy I didn't really gain much at all. I learn to control my intake. All I ate was fresh fruits and had a big craving for spaghetti! All the fruits and working through the end of my pregnancy helped me to maintain my weigh and labor.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Michelle :)
ReplyDeleteYou know what you want and what you need to do, so I'm sure with discipline & the right attitude, you're getting closer each day to your goal. Thought you might want to get the app Skimble. It's a workout trainer with videos and instructions, measures how much calories you've burned too. It's free but you can always upgrade to Pro and Pro+.
I wish I'd give some tips but I'm not a mom, area out of my expertise. But I think you need to continue with your exercise plan to see results. I'm sure you'd, Michella. Enjoy being a new mother!
ReplyDeleteHey! You still lost though, and that's amazing! It's better then gaining. I had lost 11 pounds, and thought I was going for 13, and then I ended up gaining one.. I was pretty disappointed.. Not sure what I did wrong : (
ReplyDeleteAlmost 40lbs is amazing. Everyone has off weeks, as long as you stand back up and keep going, that's what really matters.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the weight loss! It can defiantly be hard to keep the enthusiasm a few months in so don't be too down on yourself!

ReplyDeleteYou still lost weight, I can't seem to lose any.
ReplyDeleteI often wonder if I will ever be at my pre-baby weight, but I know it won't happen. Keep up the hard work.

I fell off the wagon with my diet and workout programs and put on all the weight I lost. Good for you for sticking with it and for keeping yourself accountable by sharing your progress.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing great sticking with it! Don't be too disappointed in yourself. You are doing great.
ReplyDeleteHey, you should be proud that you lost. It's so easy to fall off the wagon but you can always get back on. Don't get down on yourself.
ReplyDeleteI need to do the plank challenge! I say good job losing anyway.
ReplyDeleteI gained a lot of weight when I was pregnant with my little girl. It took a long time to come off. Congrats to you on your continued success.
ReplyDeleteWOW good for you. I need to do this so bad. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work! We all struggle once in a while. Just remember that a bad week does not mean anything major. It's just a lesson to learn from & move on. I just started my weight loss journey yesterday. This is my second time around with losing weight. Feel free to swing by to check out my new blog dedicated to my journey. ---> http://nomoresugarinmygrits.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI'm in Week 3 of the C25K app. It's challenging! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGreat work. I have been seeing your progress and sounds like your well into the routine now.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, your doing a great job
ReplyDeleteThat is good that you are keeping track of your progress. You are motivating me to start keeping track of my own goals (once I set them that is..that's the hard part). Keep up the wonderful work! You will for sure reach your goal!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have been doing an amazing work! Sometimes your body and mind want to take a little easier, the important thing is to get back to the rutine after a slow week like this.
ReplyDeleteGreat job and keep it up. Keeping in touch with yourself and what you are doing and your honesty is great and needed.
ReplyDeleteagain congrats on your weight loss! Your story is very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being a first time mom and on the work out regimen! You can do it!
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring story.. I hope you complete all your goals, I am trying my hands on cycling these days to lose some extra weight.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, your doing an amazing job!!!
ReplyDeleteI like that you are realistic about not meeting your goals, yet you don't beat yourself up, and move on to do better next time. In my humble opinion you did amazingly and wow... I love being on this journey with you!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, mama! Keep it up! I am at 4 months and 33 lbs down.
ReplyDeleteIt's really nice that you have set goals per week. I usually set 3 to 4 runs per week and feel bad when I only do one run a week.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I am on a weightloss journey too - but after losing a ton - I suddenly gain 5 lbs, Ugh. I feel so sad about it.
ReplyDeleteI keep track of your progress and congratulations and what makes me feel bad is I cant even start my own fitness program.
ReplyDeleteI love overnight oats too! Although we always heat ours. But it's such an easy way to get a hearty breakfast, and I find that is always my first step toward weight loss.
ReplyDeleteI think it´s all a matter of perspective. What you did sounds like a real lot to me. Best wishes on the new week goals.
ReplyDeletethat is amazing! congrats.. i want to lose weight too lol...
ReplyDeleteWow! Good for you! I keep trying every month and I struggle so much around my period. I get really hungry! Then I lose focus. So I know how much will power is definitely needed! I would give you a hug!
