Green Tea Yogurt Shake with Kiss Me Organics Matcha

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I love green tea and will drink at least one hot glass every day. I always drank it to settle by stomach but have been drinking it more often after following the Dr. Oz Rapid Weight Loss and Skinny Jane diets. Green tea not only tastes great but also has tons of antioxidants and metabolism boosting properties.

I wanted to try a new way to enjoy green tea. I have had it in ice cream and in frozen yogurt before so I wanted to try it in an easy shake. To get that green color and great green tea flavor you have to use matcha which is green tea powder.

I used the matcha from Kiss Me Organics. They are an awesome company who uses high quality organic matcha free from chemicals and preservatives. Just look at the ingredient list and all you see is "100% Organic Matcha".

Green Tea Yogurt Shake
**Before making this recipe take plain Greek nonfat yogurt place in ice cube trays by the tablespoon and freeze overnight or until completely solid.
  • 8 frozen yogurt cubes
  • 3/4 cup cold unsweetened almond milk (or any other milk you like)
  • 1 tsp agave nectar*
  • 1 tsp Kiss Me Organics Matcha
  • 1/4 cup of boiling water

  1. Place matcha into a mug and pour the boiling water over it. Mix well.
  2. Place all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
*I like my green tea plain without any sweeteners so 1 tsp of agave is enough for me. If you like your tea sweet I suggest added more agave or honey.

You can also use the Kiss Me Organics matcha in baking, lattes and smoothies. Check out their website for more information here: http://kissmeorganics.com/ or go ahead and purchase the organic matcha on Amazon.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  18. I hate tea so much and can never seem to get over it, no matter how many times I try different kinds. I know how good it can be for you, so I've really tried to find something I like.

  19. It looks yummy, but I'm probably going to have to wait a few years before trying Matcha again! I received a bag to review, and the day I baked and ate matcha green tea muffins, our household was hit hard by norovirus. I have such bad memories associated with matcha now, which is terrible...I love green tea!
