Family Fun at the Staten Island Yankee Game!

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for the Staten Island Yankees. I received tickets for the game as well as food vouchers to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

I was invited to attend a Staten Island Yankee game with my family. Being from the Bronx and a huge New York Yankees fan I jumped at the opportunity. Born and raised in NYC I am embarrassed to say that I have never been to Staten Island. It was a great opportunity to experience Staten Island for the first time while watching one of my favorite sports.

We drove to the arena but is it super easy to get to by train or bus and ferry. The ferry is conveniently located right next to the stadium so it is super accessible to anyone in the NYC/NJ area.

As soon as I got to the stadium I saw how cute the stadium was. The outside screamed Staten Island Yankees and the fans scattered all over the front seemed super proud to represent their local team with jerseys, t-shirts and hats.

We quickly got our tickets at the will call window and were greeted and let in by the friendly stadium staff. We made our way to the bathroom which was super clean and then to the concession stand to get some lunch. Then off we went to our seats which I was very pleased about because we were so close to the action. Since the stadium is a lot smaller than your usual MLB game it looked like every seat was a great seat.

It was an exciting game as the SI Yankees were trailing almost the whole game. At the seventh inning the home team scored 5 runs! It was all over for the visiting team as the SI Yankees won the game 7 to 3.

I had a great experience and would definitely be coming to another game soon. I highly recommend experiencing a Yankee game as a family even for the littlest ones because they have entertainment in between each inning. From the dancing cheerleaders, funny fan games and the super awesome mascot Scooter, I was super entertained from start to finish.

Tickets are really affordable too! Use the code "mommy" when you purchase your tickets here for a great discount. http://bit.ly/1nViaer. Be sure to follow the Staten Island Yankees on Facebook or Twitter.

Have you ever been to a minor league baseball game?

  9. " take me out to the ball game ... la la laaaala la laaa" Baseball isn't big in South Africa - but it beats cricket any day.

  11. My cousin is a BIG Yankees fan and I even met A-Rod here in Baltimore a few years ago (like 3 or 4). She is also from the Bronx - CO-OP City, Section 5. We had some fun times. Looks like you enjoyed the game.
