Weight: I gained 1.7 pounds for an adjusted total of 53.4. My husband had a week off from work and we decided to do a staycation. I was completely off track, ate what I wanted and didn't make it to the gym.
Proud Moments:
- Though I didn't make the healthiest choices I still didn't overeat. I tried what I wanted without getting completely full the way I used to.
- I didn't snack all day or eat tons of sweets at night.
- I took my daughter on a lot of outdoor activities where I ran around with her.
- I had the energy to clean out my entire extra room and closets. I also organized and got rid of a lot of excess clutter.
Not So Proud Moments:
- I had soda during the week and even bought a 2 liter coke one day.
- I didn't make time for the gym.
- I did no strength training.
Getting Back on Track:
- Go to the gym 3 times
- Strength training 3 times
- Modified Dr. Oz Rapid Weight Loss Plan
- Take Vitamins and Probiotics
- Increase FitBit goal by 500 steps and meet it each day
It's okay to have a day or staycation which doesn't follow the strictest rules. Now you are more dedicated to the cause and it'll seem more fun too. I'm fortunate that my hubby is dieting with me, so it's easier to stay on track.
ReplyDeleteGood for you. I just got back from vacation and I am up 3 pounds. I am hoping it is from not drinking enough water.
ReplyDeleteGood for you for wanting to get back on track! You can do it!
ReplyDeleteGaining 1.7 pounds on a staycation is not bad. It's a great job that you stayed away from over eating.
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you recognize this (very) little bump in the road. Make sure to drink water and eat a generous portion for breakfast. Snack on watery fruits and vegetables and eat those foods with plenty of nutrients!
ReplyDeleteVacations are a time for relaxing all rules. As long as you get back on track it's fine to have a little break. Stay strong!
ReplyDeleteIt's important to take breaks when you are working so hard! Best of luck in the future!
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just need to break the rules and relax. Now that vacation is over you have a great plan to get back in track.
ReplyDeleteI love how accountable you are. I had big goals for summer, but didn't follow through with much of them, as far as exercise goes. School starts up tomorrow and so does my exercise routine!
ReplyDeleteHey atleast you have admitted it. Sometimes its ok to do so. Your doing a great job! Vacationing is hard when dieting. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI'd say that for it being a staycation, you still did really good. Most people would have quickly gone back to their old habits. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteYou're holding yourself accountable and tracking what you did so that's awesome! You'll rebound!
ReplyDeleteI bet you'll be back on track again this week. I like how you keep track of everything.
ReplyDeleteI like to snack on gum or nuts during the day, to fight from eating random junk food instead.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are going to be back on track, it is okay to get off the track, my hubby feels better when he cheats a bit.
ReplyDeleter t wasn't the problem. One 2L of coke will not gain you weight. Failure to exercise to compensate was the problem. Don't give up but you need to seriously prioritize the gym if your goal is to lose weight.
ReplyDeleteLike you, sometimes I can't help but eat a lot especially sweets. Although I'm slim, I'm afraid of getting sick like DM so I tried to minimize. I think it's okay to eat (too much) what you like once in a while. Besides, you're going back to the gym for training. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is essential to take break when working this hard. I am planning to take a break myself.
ReplyDeleteEveryone has them not so good moments or days. The fact is you just can't give up after them days. Keep up the good job you have been doing. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou are still doing great! I know how hard you work and you deserve a break once in a while!
ReplyDeleteKeep reminding yourself of the amazing job you are doing. Its okay to have the little breaks from our routine and diet and just enjoy life. As long as you get back into the swing of things is what counts.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing awesome. Vacation diets are hard. So I say stick with it, you are doing awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm proud of you for having a staycation, and then being able to get right back on track. You are awesome!
ReplyDeleteIts Hard to stay on track when you are on vacation. But as long as you get right back on track you will be fine.
