3 Months Down and Back to the 2 Week Dr. Oz Plan

First of all I would love to thank everyone who has been reading my posts on my blog, Facebook and twitter. Your words of encouragement and congratulations really make it easier for me to keep going. Writing about my journey and having so many awesome people comment makes me so accountable.

I can not believe that it has been 3 months already. I remember the first week like it was yesterday. The number on the scale is really not important to me. What is important to me is how I feel. I am so energetic, happy and confident about myself. I feel proud that I have the energy to clean the house, cook a healthy meal, play with my daughter and go to the gym. Three months ago I could not do it all. I still have a long way to go but I know I can do it.

Weigh In: I lost 1.6 pounds for a total lost of 34.2 pounds.

Nutrition: I finally did it! I tried Quinoa! I researched and researched on the best way to cook it. I then took the advice of one of my readers to try it and substitute it in a recipe I already make. I decided to make Vegetable Fried Quinoa. It was so good and tasted just like my regular fried rice. The quinoa is so mild that it took the taste of the soy, sesame oil and veggies. (Recipe post coming soon!). Although I didn't count calories the way I wanted to I still ate super healthy things like green smoothies, matcha, quinoa and yummy salads.

Fitness:
I went to the gym two times this week and followed the incline interval program again. I felt the program getting easier so I upped the speed. That really kicked my butt and I was exhausted at the end but it did feel good. I missed the 3rd gym day due to a sore ankle. I didn't get to go on a long walk this week but I did go on three short walks instead. I was kind of amazed that I still wanted to go out after going to the gym. I went to the gym super early the both days my husband was off so that we could take her to the park and run around with her. Playing with a toddler at the park burns extra calories :)

Last weeks goals:
  • Count my calories
  • Prepare quinoa - GOAL MET!
  • Go to the gym at least 3 times + a long walk (3 short)
  • Resistance Band workout 3 times
  • Drink more water - GOAL MET!
This week:
  • Go to the gym at least 3 times + a long walk (or exercise video)
  • Resistance Band workout 3 times
  • Drink at least 2 cups of green tea a day
  • Take a multivitamin and probiotic a day
  • Complete the Dr. Rapid Weight Loss Plan

  13. Amazing! Keep going! I know for me that we use a lot of quinoa but more in soups and stews than just eating. I'll have to try frying it.
