Dr. Oz Rapid Weight Loss Plan Part 2: One month and one week down!
Monday, February 24, 2014
I weighed myself this morning and I lost another 6.2 pounds for a total of 21.4 pounds. I must confess that two days out of the week I made a few not so healthy choices. I had long errands to run and didn't prepare my food for on the go. On Tuesday I ate some chicken nuggets and a few fries from McDonald's. On Thursday I had a traditional Puerto Rican dinner of rice, beans and pork.
Why am I not upset with myself? On both days I followed the plan to a T except for the one meal that I messed up on. On Thursday instead of eating a complete meal I shared half of it with my sister. The old me would have said "Oh well I cheated, I'll just start again tomorrow or next week". The new me allowed myself to deter for my plan but jump right back on and stay active.
I have to say that this week the Dr. Oz Rapid Weight Loss Plan was easier. I found more things to eat and even enjoyed my salad more with a creamy and rich avocado-yogurt dressing I made. I also added hummus and soups which made it feel like I wasn't on a diet. I can definitely see myself doing the plan for one week at a time every month.
This week I go back to my calorie counting and exercising. The weather is getting warmer and the snow is thawing. I can't wait to go on my walks this week!

Congratulations, you're doing great! In order to be successful with healthy eating, you have to allow for times that you do not adhere perfectly to your regime. I lost 70 lbs in 1 year by eating sensibly and getting active daily, and the key is consistency and staying with the plan.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great job your doing. Losing weight is so hard. I haven't tried the Dr. Oz plan however from watching his tv shows I think it would be a great place to start.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I'm glad that you are seeing a new you out of yourself and that you aren't addressing issues the way you were before. I think your approach now helps you to be more forgiving of little mishaps, and jump right in again instead of giving up. Way to go!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the warmer weather too so we can get outside! Congrats on your weight loss!
ReplyDeleteYou shouldn't beat yourself up about cheating. Everyone is entitled to a cheat day [or two] The Dr oz diet looks amazing. I think I might try it as well. Thank you for sharing./

ReplyDeleteNice job! I cut out wheat and sugar from my diet for about two months, and have since lost about 20 pounds. I've followed some of Dr. Oz's recipe suggestions that I saw in a Women's First magazine. I will have to learn more about this diet.
ReplyDeleteThis is great even with a few less than healthy choices! I must say that slipping up a bit is to be expected and I think even necessary to remind yourself what your goal is (and to reward yourself for being good the majority of the time!) I need to learn about and try this plan I think because it seems to work fabulously.
ReplyDeleteOH, that is really good that you continue even though there are minor obstacles. That is determination, love it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'm glad the program is working for you. I hope it continues to do so and that you're able to maintain the pounds you drop! ^_^
